SET UP
All players are set-up in 2 lines. 4 players are positioned at the bluelines and boards. X1 and O1 start the drill simultaneously. A bunch of pucks are with both lines in the corner.
DRILL STEPS
X1 and O1 start the drill by skating with a puck each towards the player across the ice. Halfway across the ice, they pass the puck to X2 & O2 and continue to skate to where they passed the puck. When X2 and O2 receive the pass they skate towards the cross ice player (X3 and O3). X1 and O1 take the position of X2 and O2. X2 and O2 pass the puck while in stride halfway across the ice and skate to where they passed the puck. X3 and O3 receive the pass and skate into towards the goalie and shoot from the top of the circle. X2 and O2 take the place of X3 and O3 and wait for a pass.
After X3 and O3 shoot on goal they go in line in the closest corner. This is a quick moving drill.
KEY TEACHING POINTS
Players work on passing in stride, communication and keeping their heads up.
