This section is about taking care of you - your body and your mind.
There are 4 categories:

You will learn:

    • about what it is and what it means for the game
    • about the importance of transitioning from "life mode" to "game mode"
    • how to condition your mind on a regular basis
    • how to mentally prepare yourself for the game
    • what can cause distractions and how to deal with them
    • how to stay in control of your emotions so that you always come out a winner
    • how to track your mental conditioning progress and constantly improve
    • what specific preparation you can do before a game

Nutrition

You will:

    • learn about the importance of water and its major effects on the body
    • understand when to drink water and how much
    • get tips and facts on water and other drinks

Conditioning

You will learn:

    • about warm-ups and what they do to the body
    • about the components of physical conditioning and why it is so important to train properly
    • about the different training for the different age groups
    • how to plan for your physical fitness
    • about the P.O.W.E.R. Technology and what it can do for you
    • about monitoring your progress and why it will make a difference in your training

Injury and Recovery

You will learn:

    • what to do when an injury happens
    • about recovery and the importance of proper and full healing
    • the steps involved when returning to the ice
